About the Teacher
I was born and raised in Shelby, NC. I am proud graduate of Crest High School. I attended both North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University and The University of North Carolina at Greensboro. I pursued a master's degree from Strayer University. I have been teaching for six years. Each year I learn more about myself, my students, and the profession that I love so much. I got into teaching because I believe that education is the foundation to life, and every child deserves to have that foundation. I am grateful to work for a school district that really understands how important education is to all students. Every Child. Every Day. For a Better Tomorrow. |
Teaching Philosophy
I believe that teaching is a way of guiding students into who they really are. To help them find their niche in this world. To help them become not just better students, but better citizens in the world that we live. Every student is unique and different. It is up to the teacher to build upon and work within the parameters that I am given. I wholeheartedly believe that education is a right. Students come to school every day with the best that they have. It is up to me to give them the best education that they deserve. |
